Speak Afrikaans, reach more customers

For translations from English to Afrikaans and from Afrikaans to English I work with a highly experienced bilingual Afrikaans-speaking colleague who translates from English to Afrikaans and vice versa.

By having your business material translated into Afrikaans, you can speak to your customers in their language. Afrikaans still plays an important role in South Africa and Namibia not only as a first language, but also as a lingua franca for speakers of other languages.

To obtain a free quote, send an e-mail or call me using the contact details on the left-hand side or at the top of this page, or contact me via Facebook.

I was very impressed with the quick response, efficient service and quality of work. We will definitely use Anglo Premier Translations again.

About Afrikaans

When Dutch settlers came to South Africa in the 18th century, they brought their language with them. Since South Africa was so far away from the Netherlands, Afrikaans began to take on a life of its own, especially as other ethnic groups from Africa and Asia began to learn the language, some of whom would write Afrikaans using Arabic script.

Over the years, the grammar became much simpler and far more regular, and other languages contributed new words to the Afrikaans language.

Estimates of the number of Afrikaans speakers vary, but at least 5 million people speak it as their mother tongue, and over 10 million more speak it as a second language.
