Drive in Namibia with a licence not in English

If you will be driving in Namibia, you must have a driving licence in English. In France, it is very difficult to obtain an international driving licence, but it is much easier to get a certified translation of your licence.

I needed to get my French driver’s licence translated for my holiday in Namibia, as obtaining an international driver’s licence in France would have taken 5 months. Order a certified copy of your licence before you travel to Namibia. It is best to order the translation at least one week before you travel. If you would like to receive a printed copy of your certified translation, we can deliver it to your tour company, car-hire company or accommodation. If you are crossing the border at Oranjemund, we can also meet you at the border.

If there are several drivers in your party, we can offer a discount if you order the licences together. Discounts are also available for tour companies in Namibia for regular orders.

We can accept payments from many countries, including all the countries in the euro area and Switzerland.
