Translation services in Namibia

Namibia-based Anglo Premier Translations is a translation and editing service run by Timothy Barton. I translate from French, Spanish, Catalan and Portuguese to English, which is my mother tongue. Through my partner translators, I may also be able to provide translations from and into Afrikaans, Oshiwambo (Oshikwanyama and Oshindonga), Otjiherero, Setswana, Silozi, Khoekhoegowab (Nama/Damara) and German.

My clients in Namibia include institutions such as the Bank of Namibia, law firms such as Ellis Shilengudwa Inc. and other private-sector firms such as Medipark.

Editing and proofreading

I also offer editing and proofreading services. Speakers of other languages living in Namibia need to be able to communicate in English, ideally Namibian English. If you wish to do business in Namibia or communicate with Namibians, I can help ensure that you can commuinicate clearly with the local population.

Interpreting

My interpreting services can help you negotiate with foreign clients and investors . For instance, I can travel to Luderitz or Walvis Bay to assist negotiations with Spanish fishing companies, or I can attend meetings with delegates from Cuba, Equatorial Guinea or Venezuela.

I also provide conference interpreting services, mainly in Windhoek and Swakopmund. I interpret from and into French and Spanish and I work with colleagues and partners to provide other languages. I can also hire equipment to provide a full service.

Clients

I provide services to a range of clients, including businesses, charities (at special rates for those whose objectives I support), organisations, sports clubs and higher-education institutions. I accept payments in South African rand, Namibian dollars, US dollars and European currencies.

Tours

Some tourists prefer to travel with an interpreter who speaks their language. Contact me if you would like to offer a tour in French, Spanish or Catalan or you would like an interpreter to accompany you in Namibia.
